Florianne Remme (Zutphen, 2000) began her conservatory studies at the School for Young Talent in The Hague, where she studied with Lucia Swarts. In 2018, she continued her studies at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in the class of Jeroen Reuling. In 2025, she graduated summa cum laude and was awarded the Mathilde Horlait- Dapsens Scholarship, presented to outstanding students.
Florianne has received prizes at festivals such as the Peter de Grote Festival (Gasterra Award), Festival Schiermonnikoog (Festival Award), and Festival Verão Clássico (Festival Award), as well as at competitions including the Princess Christina Competition (laureate 2016) and the Cello Biënnale Amsterdam (laureate 2022). In 2019, she was also awarded a scholarship by the Herbert Duintjer Fund.
During her studies, she participated in festivals such as the Jong Talent Festival Schiermonnikoog, the Aurora Festival, the Casals Festival Prades, the Brussels Cello Festival, the Emmy Verhey Festival, the Académie de la Saline Royale, Festival Verão Clássico Lisbon, the Encuentro Músico de Santander Festival, among others. In 2025, she was selected to participate in the prestigious Yellow Barn Festival in the United States.
She has taken masterclasses with distinguished musicians including Gary Hoffman, Frans Helmerson, Steven Isserlis, Pieter Wispelwey, Daniel Müller-Schott, and Jens-Peter Maintz. Alongside her passion for chamber music, Florianne greatly enjoys orchestral playing. During the 2023–2024 season, she was one of the twelve academy members of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Since August 2025, she has been Co-Principal Cello with the Residentie Orkest in The Hague.
Florianne plays on a cello by T. Bertrand that has been generously loaned to her by the Strings for Talent Brussels fund. Her bow is on loan from the Dutch Musical Instruments Foundation.
